(WXIA) -- IHOP will once again participate in the National Pancake Day promotion on Tuesday, Mar. 4.

Customers who visit any IHOP location on National Pancake Day will be treated to a free short stack of buttermilk pancakes. In exchange, the restaurant chain encourages diners to leave a donation for a number of charities, namely the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals.

Beginning this Saturday, Feb. 1, IHOP will collect donations for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. Customers can buy paper balloons that cost either $1 or $5. The balloons will hang in IHOP restaurants through National Pancake Day.

All You Can Eat Pancakes is back at all IHOP restaurants through Sunday, Feb. 9.

Pizza Hut offering 50% off online orders

Pizza Hut offering 50% off online orders

(WXIA) -- Twenty years ago, Pizza Hut delivered its first-ever pizza to be ordered over the Internet.

Now, the pizza chain is celebrating this milestone by offering a half-off online deal for customers.

Medium and large Pizza Hut pizzas will be 50 percent off when ordered online now through Jan. 10.

Pizza Hut has also launched Hut Lovers, a loyalty program that provides members with exclusive deals.

A large pepperoni, mushroom and extra cheese Pizza Hut pizza was the first physical good ever purchased online, according to Pizza Hut chief marketing officer Carrie Walsh.

"We want to celebrate the fact that before consumers could buy books, clothes, music or vacation packages via the Internet, they could place an online order for a Pizza Hut pizza," Walsh said in a statement. "We're doing so by giving back to our customers who have helped us lead the way with digital innovations over the last 20 years."

(WXIA) -- In an effort to raise $3 million for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals and celebrate National Pancake Day, IHOP Restaurants will give out free pancakes to all guests on Tuesday, February 5.

This day will also mark the 30th anniversary of the Children's Miracle Network Hospital, as reported by a spokeswoman for IHOP.  National Pancake Day is recognized as IHOP's largest philanthropic event of the year, with more than 1,500 restaurants taking part. IHOP hopes that reaching the $3 million goal will be the ideal kick off to 2013 fundraising for the CMNH.

The spokeswoman said IHOP restaurants will give a complimentary stack of buttermilk pancakes to all guests from 7:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m. At the same time, they hope guests will make donations to CMNH. All proceeds will be put towards helping CMNH and other local charities to bring vital equipment, life-saving procedures and critical care to sick and injured children.
